The municipal government of Beijing is determined to achieve a 9 percent growth in gross domestic product this year, Acting Mayor Wang Qishan said Monday in a report to the city's law makers.
Delivering a government work report at the second session of the 12th Beijing Municipal People's Congress that opened Monday, Wang said the city would also see a rise of 13 percent in annual revenue.
The per capita disposable income for urban residents and per capita net income for farmers would both rise by more than 6 percent.
The municipal government would work to maintain the re-employment rate for registered jobless in urban districts above 60 percent and to maintain the rate of the registered unemployed below 2.5 percent.
In the meantime, the administration would do its best to stabilize the consumer price index at around 102 percent and to bring the natural growth rate of the population below one per thousand.
