HK to cosponsor CEPA Promotion Week in Guangzhou

Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology John Tsang will launch "Promotion Week for CEPA of Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao" in Guangzhou Wednesday.

Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology John Tsang will launch "Promotion Week for CEPA of Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao" in Guangzhou Wednesday.

The event, which will be held from Feb. 11 to 14, is co-organized by Invest Hong Kong, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute.

The CEPA Promotion Week is also supported by Hong Kong Special Administrative Region HKSAR government, Macao Special Administrative Region government and Ministry of Commerce.

According to a HKSAR government press release Tuesday, CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement) Promotion Week comprises a four-day exhibition and seminars on the implementation of CEPA.

The event will feature a Hong Kong Pavilion, promoting the benefits offered by CEPA. In addition, officials and representatives of trade bodies from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao will address the seminars to brief investors and business people on the latest development of CEPA and how they could capitalize on the business opportunities arising from CEPA.
