China to kick off the program for 'Overseas Talents in Service of National Plan'

In 2004 China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will further strengthen ties with Overseas Chinese technological organizations and talents and set in motion the program for "Overseas Talents in Service of National Plan".

In 2004 China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will further strengthen ties with Overseas Chinese technological organizations and talents and set in motion the program for "Overseas Talents in Service of National Plan".

The 4th meeting of the 6th National Committee of CAST was opened on Monday. Zhang Yutai revealed the information when introducing the 2004's major work in his Work Report.

Zhang Yutai said the program for "Overseas Talents in Service of National Plan" will provide a platform for overseas Chinese scientific and technological personnel who wish to serve the motherland (homeland) by way of subject workshops, temporary/part-time jobs, cooperation programs and technology services. In this way overseas talents can play a constructive role in the progress of China's modernization.
