Chinese starlet Dong Fangzhuo will be playing in the Belgian league with FC Antwerp on a loan basis this season.
The 19-year-old, formerly of Chinese club Dalian Shide, signed for Manchester United last month for an initial 500,000 pounds (919,300 US dollars), although the fee could eventually rise to 3.5million pounds depending on first-team appearances.
The English champions decided to loan Dong to sister club Antwerp for the youngster was unable to get a British work permit due to his lack of full international games.
While there are high hopes that Dong will mature quickly in time for the English premier league, he is eager to fulfill the faith everyone, his former club Dalian Shide in particular, has put in him.
"Although I am not too familiar with Antwerp, I am not the least disappointed since arriving," said Dong on the club's official website.
"I have never played in this league but I have watched a few tapes of the games being played here. I think the Belgian and English leagues are just as intense and I have every desire to give a good account of myself here.
"I won't disappoint my fans and friends back home, most certainly not disappoint the faith Dalian have put in me."
