Singapore PM, visiting Vietnamese FM discuss cooperation

Visiting Vietnamese Foreign Minister Nguyen Dy Nien called on Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong here on Thursday afternoon and the two leaders discussedways of expanding bilateral economic cooperation, according to thelocal media.

Visiting Vietnamese Foreign Minister Nguyen Dy Nien called on Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong on the afternoon of Jan. 29 and the two leaders discussed ways of expanding bilateral economic cooperation, according to the local media.

Channel news asia, a local English language TV station, said on its website that they also exchanged views on the economic outlook for the region and the world.

Nguyen is here on a three-day visit to Singapore on Jan. 27-29 at the invitation of his Singapore counterpart S. Jayakumar.
