Libya hands UN inspectors drawings of nuclear weapons
The United Nations nuclear watchdog said Friday that Libya has handed UN inspectors drawings of nuclear weapons, and the designs have been put under UN seal.
The United Nations nuclear watchdog said on Jan. 23 that Libya has handed UN inspectors drawings of nuclear weapons, and the designs have been put under UN seal.
"We have been shown nuclear weapons drawings that the Libyans have in their possession. We have the drawings under our seal and they are secure," UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) spokesman Mark Gwozdecky said in Vienna.
But he declined to give any details about the drawings.
IAEA inspectors have been in Libya since Tuesday, when they joined weapons experts from the United States and Britain who are dismantling Tripoli's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons capabilities.
