Tianjin chosen as venue to produce famous-brand watch movements

ISA Group of Switzerland will spend 28 million US dollars to launch a production, research and development base in the Tianjin Development Zone.

ISA Group of Switzerland will spend 28 million US dollars to launch a production, research and development base in the Tianjin Development Zone.

In accordance with an agreement signed recently between the world's second largest watch movement maker and the microelectronic park of Tianjin Development Zone, the projected base will produce, process and export electronic movements and components for watches such as Longine and Movado, said a local official.

The new factory, which will cover an area of 60,000 sq m, will be completed and go into production next year.
