China announces provisional roster for Table Tennis Worlds

A star-studded Chinese men's team including world top two players Ma Lin, Wang Liqin and Olympic champion Kong Linghui is scheduled to compete in the World Table Tennis Team Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar, in March of this year.

The seven-member provisional roster also included newly-crowned ITTF Pro Tour Finals top two finishers Wang Hao and Hao Shuai, newtalented Chen Qi and veteran Liu Guozheng.

According to head coach Liu Guoliang, the final roster of five players will be named before the deadline of registration in February.

The Chinese paddlers now have a close-door training program in Xiamen, Fujian Province in South China.

The Chinese coach said they would try hard to defend the team title in Doha.
