Macao opens 12th casino
The Macao Gaming Holding Company (SJM) owned by tycoon Stanley Ho will open its 12th casino Wednesday, on the eve of China's Lunar New Year.

Gaming Holding Company (SJM) owned by tycoon Stanley Ho will open its 12th casino Wednesday, on the eve of China's Lunar New Year.
The Macao Jockey Club Casino lodged in the Grandview Hotel on Taipa Island of Macao will open for business at 23:00, increasing the SJM's game tables to above 450.
The SJM's daily revenue in January, which is generally considered a low season for the business due to the Chinese tradition of home gatherings during the Spring Festival, climbed by 30 percent year-on-year to 80 million patacas (10 million US dollars).
The SJM earned 22.4 billion patacas (2.8 billion US dollars) inpre-tax revenue in the first ten months of 2003.
