Payment with inland cards in Hong Kong

ChinaUnionPay Co., Ltd. offers business of payment with its RMB card.

The People's Bank of China announced on Jan.16 that under the approval of the Chinese central bank, ChinaUnionPay Co., Ltd. offers business of payment with its inter-bank RMB card on Jan.18. Inter-bank RMB card (either credit card or debit card) holders from the Chinese mainland can pay for their shopping, catering and accommodation at POS labeled "Yinlian"in Chinese characters in Hong Kong. They can also draw Hong Kong dollars less than 5,000 RMB equivalent within one day from ATM with "Yinlian" mark in Hong Kong.
