Spring Festival Parade to be held at Ave des Champs-Elysees
On the morning of Jan. 15, Paris municipal government and Beijing municipal government held a joint press conference at Hotel de Ville at which it was announced that Beijing and Paris governments would hold a joint grand Chinese Spring Festival Parade on Jan. 24 in Paris.

About 7,000 actors, actresses and civilians from Beijing or various other regions of China, would together with overseas Chinese in Paris turn the world-known Ave des Champs-Elysees into a grand stage for traditional jubilee of Chinese festival culture.
As learned the scheduled Spring Festival parade in Paris will be an unprecedented grand occasion. By then Ave des Champs-Elysees decorated with Chinese traditional red lanterns will be filled with joyous atmosphere featuring the Chinese Spring Festival. Since the French Revolution the Ave des Champs-Elysees has never seen a festival parade of such a large scale being organized by foreign cities and nationals and organizations residing in France.
