Rockets hit US headquarters in Kirkuk: Al Arabiya TV

The US military headquarters in Kirkuk, Iraq, has reportedly came under a rocket attack. The city's chief of police apparently said that two rockets fell on the local airport, which US forces had taken as their headquarters.

Kirkuk is 275 kilometres north of Baghdad. No casualty or damage report has been released on Thursday's attack.

Sirens were then heard around the city and a number of tanks and armoured vehicles surrounded the building.
