Asia Securities Forum to convene in Bali

The Asia Securities Forum which groups securities companies from countries and region in Asia and the Pacific will hold the ninth annual conference in Bali on Jan. 30, an executive said here Thursday.

The Asia Securities Forum which groups securities companies from countries and region in Asia and the Pacific will hold the ninth annual conference in Bali on Jan. 30, an executive said here Thursday.

"Compliance with market rules and transparency among securities companies will become the main agenda during the conference," saidLily Widjaja, seceratry-general of the Association of Indonesian Securities Companies.

Initiated by Japan in 1995, the ASF is a forum designed to improve capital market performance in the region, she added.

The conference will be attended by associations from countries and a region in Asia-Pacific, including Japan, South Korea, China,the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia.
