Mainland won't allow Taiwan secession: State Councilor
A senior Chinese official said Wednesday that the mainland will not allow anyone support Taiwan to secede from China through any means.

A senior Chinese official said Wednesday that the mainland will not allow anyone support
Taiwan
to secede from China through any means.
State Councilor
Tang Jiaxuan
said the mainland will make the utmost efforts to push forward all activities that are conducive to economic, scientific, technological and cultural exchanges across the Taiwan Straits and the national reunification.
He called on all the Chinese people, including Taiwan compatriots, to work for an early reunification of the country.
Tang Jiaxuan also said the central government will unswervingly implement the policy of "one country, two systems" and strictly follow the Basic Laws in
Hong Kong
and
Macao
.
