Second basketball win for China's women

Defending champions China took their second consecutive win at the Asian Women's Basketball Championships on Jan. 14 with an 89-62 victory over the Chinese Taipei.

Defending champions China took their second consecutive win at the Asian Women's Basketball Championships on Wednesday with an 89-62 victory over the Chinese Taipei.

The victory came one day after China beat hosts Japan at their opening match. China will next meet their strongest rivals South Korea on Friday. Nine teams are taking part in the tournament, with the top three finishers qualifying for this year's Athens Olympics.

The Asian Championships will end next Monday.
