Jiangsu leads nation in export growth

East China's Jiangsu Province is leading the country in exports growth. The exports growth was 19.1 percentage points above the national average. Jiangsu contributed 13.5 percent of the country's total exports, compared with 11.8 percent in 2002.

East China's Jiangsu Province is leading the country in exports growth.

Figures from Nanjing Customs show the province registered 113.65 billion US dollars in foreign trade last year, up 61.7 percent from 2002. Exports made up 59.12 billion US dollars, up 53.7 percent, while imports were 54.52 billion US dollars, up 71.3 percent.

The exports growth was 19.1 percentage points above the national average. Jiangsu contributed 13.5 percent of the country's total exports, compared with 11.8 percent in 2002.
