China's tax revenue exceeds 2 trillion yuan in 2003

By December 31, 2003, China had completed a national tax revenue totaling 2,045 billion yuan (not including customs tax and agricultural tax) in the year, a growth of 344.6 billion yuan over the previous year, or 20.3 percent, and meeting the annual budget by 108.2 percent, statistics from the State Administration of Taxation showed.
