Heat activates Wang Zhizhi from injured list

Miami Heat reserve center Wang Zhizhi, sidelined since Dec. 12 with right knee patella tendinitis,was activated from the injured list Monday.

Miami Heat reserve center Wang Zhizhi, sidelined since Dec. 12 with right knee patella tendinitis,was activated from the injured list Monday.

Signed by the Heat as a free agent on Dec. 1, Wang Zhizhi played in two games with the Los Angeles Clippers before waived onNov. 21. The 7-1 center has yet to see any action for Miami, which has won seven of 10 following a 5-15 start.

To make room for Wang, the Heat placed rookie forward Udonis Haslem on the injured list with a right knee sprain and a strainedMCI.

Haslem started 18 of Miami's first 30 games and averaged 6.0 points and 5.9 rebounds. He injured his knee in Saturday's 100-80loss to the New York Knicks.
