took place on Dec.23 and has killed at least 191 people.

Hua Jianmin, a state councilor heading a work team consisting of State Council staff members to guide the rescue work in the county visited affected people in Kaixian where the gas well is located. The Chongqing municipal government organized and launched the largest relief search program since the gas blowout happened. The search ended on the morning of Dec.27 and capping operation bagan after that.
