Chinese Premier
Wen Jiabao
has marked the government's fiscal priorities for next year, stressing balanced growth.
The government will work to realize a balanced growth between urban and rural areas, between economic and social progress, and among different regions, Wen said.
More effort will be made to improve the living standards and environment for needy people and less developed regions, he added.
The country will better apply the proactive fiscal policy and further economic restructuring, Wen said.
Wen said taxation should be carried out in line with laws to guarantee a stable and affluent state treasury.
Taxation reform will continue next year while government funds will be better managed to reduce risk, he said.
China's fiscal revenue is estimated to exceed 2 trillion yuan (about 244 billion US dollars) this year thanks to fast economic growth and improved corporate returns, said the State Administration of Taxation on Dec. 18.
