Operation to cap gas well set for Saturday

The operation to cap the No. 16 well of the Chongqingbei gas field, which blew Tuesday, leaving at least 191 people dead, has been postponed till 10 a.m. Saturday.

The operation to cap the No. 16 well of the Chongqingbei gas field, which blew Tuesday, leaving atleast 191 people dead, has been postponed till 10 a.m. Saturday.

The decision was made by a work team dispatched by the State Council after consulting Chongqing Municipal government and the China National Petroleum Corporation, which operates the field.
