Bin Laden tape denounces US war on Iraq

An audiotape purportedly from Osama bin Laden was aired by Dubai-based Al Arabiya satellite TV on Saturday, saying the US-led war on Iraq is a new crusade against Islam.
"This war is a new crusade against the Islamic world ... is a critical war for the whole Islamic nation," the tape said. The undated tape was aired just one day after the Qatar-basedal-Jazeera satellite TV broadcast an audiotape attributed to Bin Laden's top aide Ayman al-Zawahri.
The voice on that recording said the Americans are being chased everywhere, in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in Palestine and in the Arabpeninsula.
A CIA official said earlier Saturday in Washington that technical analysis showed the Zawahri tape was "most likely"authentic.
Both Bin Laden and Zawahri are still at large two years after the US-led forces invaded Afghanistan and ousted the hardline Taliban which gave shelter to al-Qaida terror network led by Bin Laden.
