Celebrations to mark 4th founding anniversary of Macao SAR

A series of celebrations were scheduled to mark the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), which is to fall onSaturday.

A series of celebrations were scheduled to mark the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), which is to fall onSaturday.

The Information Office of the Macao SAR government said that official celebrations will include the flag-hoisting ceremony on the Golden Lotus Square in the morning, and a grand celebration reception banquet will be held on the Macao Tower in the afternoon.

Over 200 Macao citizens from various organizations will participate in a gymnastic performance after the flag-hoisting ceremony. The Chief Executive Edmund Ho will officiate the Second Guangdong-Macao Football Match.

A symphony orchestra performance will be staged in the Macao Cultural Center in the evening, while a fireworks display will be held to commemorate this special occasion.
