The center will focus on social psychology and system security, corporate behavior and human resources management, and economic psychology and consumer behavior, said Shi Kan, head of the research center, at its launch ceremony on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the center would work out models to predict and interpret human psychological behavior in order to offer feasible suggestions to the government and enterprises in policy making, corporate reforms and implementation of brand name strategies.
The center, which is expected to be a major base for China's applied social psychological research, is attached to the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Experts say psychology, particularly social and economic psychology and corporate behavior studies, would play a role in China, which is undergoing fast economic growth and social and economic restructuring.
