The coal belt runs about 12.5 kilometers from north to south, and nearly 8.5 kilometers from west to east. It is simple in geological structure and has four layers of coal available for extraction. A sample analysis shows that the coal contains low sulphur but high energy, thus having fairly high extraction value.
