Two explosions were reported Monday in Afghanistan as the country's grand assembly was debating a new constitution.
One blast was reported in Wardak province, where President Hamid Karzai is expected to attend a ceremony for the conclusion of the Kabul-Kandahar highway rehabilitation project.
Another explosion took place in Jalalabad, capital of the eastern border province of Nangahar, about 150 kilometers away from Kabul.
So far no further information about the two explosions were available.
The Loya Jirga, or grand assembly, is currently holding meetings in Kabul to discuss Afghanistan's new constitution, whichwould pave the way for next year's general elections in the war-torn country.
