The number of job fairs and agencies in China have increased, according to the Ministry of Personnel.

The country has increased its state-level job agencies to 28, local government sponsored job agencies to 3,033, industrial department agencies to 524 and private agencies to 730, according to the ministry.

The ministry said that in recent years, the country has reaped much fruit in setting up job fairs and the roles of regional and professional ones improved a lot.

Internet-based job agencies have also grown rapidly and a multi-level human resources system across the country has taken shape, said the ministry.

In the past two years, job agencies sponsored 30,369 fairs hosting 36.97 million candidates and 1.4 million employers and 8.53 million contracts were signed, it said.

The ministry earlier announced China will hold its first national human resources conference attended by different ministries in late December.
