Premier Wen arrives in Washington to continue US trip

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Washington on Monday afternoon to continue his 4-day official visit to the United States.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Washington on Monday afternoon to continue his 4-day official visit to the United States.

Wen, who flew in here from New York, is expected to meet US President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary ofState Colin Powell and Congressional leaders during his stay in Washington.

While he was in New York, the Chinese premier met UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Wen will also visit Boston before winding up his first trip to the United States as Chinese premier.
