Bank of China (HK) launches new service

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Monday announced the launch of "BOC Remittance Plus" which allows customers to enjoy the convenience, efficiency and flexibility of the same day funds transfer in HK dollar or US dollar between HongKong and Chinese mainland through diverse channels.

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Monday announced the launch of "BOC Remittance Plus" which allows customers to enjoy the convenience, efficiency and flexibility of the same day funds transfer in HK dollar or US dollar between HongKong and Chinese mainland through diverse channels.

"BOC Remittance Plus" is a two-way same day remittance service jointly developed by Bank of China (Hong Kong) and its parent Bankof China.

The new service is the commitment made to customers by Bank of China (Hong Kong), Nanyang Bank, Chiyu Bank and branches of Bank of China in the major cities and provinces (like Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Shenzhen) if their remittance applications are accept before the cut-off time on business days.

Customers can also enjoy all-weather remittance service via electronic channels like "Corporate Banking Services" and "iT's Online Banking" from mid-December, in addition to remitting at anybranch of Bank of China (Hong Kong), Nanyang and Chiyu in Hong Kong, said Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The service has been under trial use since the end of last yearduring which customers' response is overwhelming. Up till now, the designated remittance points have also been increased from 77 to 191, and are expected to increase to meet the ever-increasing market needs, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).
