A total of 110 Chinese World Wide Web providers have joined hands to mark late Chinese leader Mao Zedong's 110th anniversary of birth, on Dec. 26 this year.
The Web providers, including sina, sohu, netease and others, run the influential websites in China. In Chinese culture, a corresponding number can better express people's feeling.
Arranged by the organizing committee of a cultural promotion titled "Our Civilization", all these Web providers will become interactive in the two months from Nov. 26 to Jan. 26 with the linkage to mzd110.chinaspirit.net.cn, a special website to hold Internet-based commemoration activities.
The Web providers will guide Internet surfers to visit a virtual memorial hall, offer flowers, or leave their messages, according to the committee.
The mzd110.chinaspirit.net.cn website will also relay commemoration activities and special programs across the country.
