Warehouse fire kills 8, injures 3 in Zhejiang

A warehouse fire killed eight people and injured three others in Yiwu city in east China's Zhejiang province in the wee hours of Thursday.

A warehouse fire killed eight people and injured three others in Yiwu city in east China's Zhejiang province in the wee hours of Thursday.

The fire destroyed seven and a half rooms in Choucheng Street in Yiwu, China's most famous marketplace of small commodities ranging from buttons and needles to lighters and playing cards.

The three injured were out of danger though one of them injured quite seriously, according to the municipal government.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
