Traffic accident claims four lives in NW China

Four people were killed and one injured in a car accident that occurred on Friday in Shenmu County of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, police sources said on Sunday.

Four people were killed and one injured in a car accident that occurred on Friday in Shenmu County of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, police sources said on Sunday.

A police officer of Shenmu County said a fast-running sedan car carrying five people rammed into a truck which parked on the section of a highway near Guojiata Village at 8 p.m. Friday. Four people aboard the sedan car died on the spot and one was seriously injured.

The injured was immediately rushed to the Shenmu County Hospital.

Police were continuing their investigations into the cause of the accident.
