Putin lifts sanctions against Libya

Russian president Vladimir Putin, by his decree in the wake of the adoption of the UN Security Council's resolution on Libya, lifted sanctions against that country, the president's press service reports Thursday.

Russian president Vladimir Putin, by his decree in the wake of the adoption of the UN Security Council's resolution on Libya, lifted sanctions against that country, the president's press service reports Thursday.

The head of state instructed all state institutions, enterprises and companies under Russian jurisdiction to proceed from the fact that from Sept. 12, 2003, sanctions against the Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya are lifted.
