Chinese ambassador to Russia appointed

Chinese President Hu Jintao announced Tuesday the appointment of new ambassadors to Mongolia and nine other countries, in accordance with a decision made by the National Peoples Congress Standing Committee.

Chinese President Hu Jintao announced Tuesday the appointment of new ambassadors to Mongolia and nine other countries, in accordance with a decision made by the National Peoples Congress Standing Committee.

Gao Shumao was appointed the new ambassador to Mongolia, replacing Huang Jiakui. Chai Xi was appointed the new ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, replacing Hu Qianwen.

Wu Chunhua replaces Wu Sike as the new ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Qi De'en replaces Shen Jiangkuan as the ambassador to the Republic of Rwanda. Wei Wenhua is appointed as the new ambassador to the the Republic of Mali, replacing Ma Zhixue.

Zhao Baozhen, ambassador to the Republic of Cote Dlvoire, is replaced by Ma Zhixue. Zhang Deguang, ambassador to the Russian Federation, gave his position to Liu Guchang.

Yao Peisheng, the new ambassador to Ukraine, replaces Li Guobang. Gao Yusheng is appointed new ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, replacing Zhang Zhiming. Hu Shouqin, ambassador to the Republic of Surinam, is replaced by Chen Jinghua.
