"The foreign ministers will discuss specific prospects of intensifying bilateral co-operation, the situation on the Korean peninsula and international problems of current importance," said the foreign ministry.

The ministry recalled that the upcoming visit would be part of the series of top-level meetings between the Russian government and South Korea's new administration.

Vladimir Putin and No Mu-hyon, Presidents of Russia and South Korea, held a meeting earlier on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation forum in Bangkok. Then the two leaders reaffirmed the line towards developing Russian-South Korean relations in different areas, said the Russian foreign ministry.
