Russia to launch satellite from Indonesia's Papua
The Russian government wants to launch a satellite from the town of Biak in Indonesia's Papua province due to its strategic location, Papua Governor Jaap Solossa said on Friday.

The Russian government has already conducted a field study in alocation in Biak, Jaap was quoted by the state news agency Antara as saying.
However, he did not mention the exact place from where Russia will launch its satellite next year.
Jaap suggested that the Indonesia government in general and the Papua administration in particular could take advantage of the event.
He said he has asked the government to reopen international flights plying the Biak-Honolulu-Los Angeles route.
He also expressed hope that the Frans Kaisiepo airport in Biak would be renovated to lure foreign investors and tourists.
