Wen on China's Role in Forum on China-Africa Cooperation
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Friday hoped the upcoming Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will play even a more important role in Sino-African Cooperation.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Friday hoped the upcoming Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will play even a more important role in Sino-African Cooperation.
When meeting with visiting Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa in Beijing, Wen said the coming ministerial conference will mainly explore cooperation prospects in the fields of human resources, agriculture, investment and trade. He hopes that both sides will make efforts to enhance the role of this conference in promoting Sino-African cooperation.
The premier also spoke highly of the results of Sino-Zambia trade and economic cooperation. He says the Chinese government will continue to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Zambia on the bases of mutual benefit and joint development. He hopes Zambia will offer Chinese investors more favorable policies.
Mwanawasa praised the mechanism of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, saying Zambia will do all in its power to strengthen friendship and cooperation between China and Africa.
