Forum on Sino-ASEAN free trade zone scheduled

A two-day forum on issues regarding the establishment of a free trade zone between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is due to be held in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province, next Monday.

A two-day forum on issues regarding the establishment of a free trade zone between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is due to be held in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province, next Monday.

During the forum, government officials, entrepreneurs and businessmen, as well as scholars and specialists from China and the 10 ASEAN member nations will confer on the present situation and prospects of economic and trade cooperation between China and the ASEAN, investment environment and trade policies.

So far, more than 130 people have applied to attend the forum, and a half of them are officials, businessmen and experts from theASEAN member nations, according to organizers.
