US President George W. Bush signed Thursday an 87.5 billion-US dollar package for military and reconstruction operations in Iraq and Afghanistan next year.

"With this act of Congress, no enemy or friend can doubt that America has the resources and the will to see this war through to victory," Bush said at a ceremony.

The bill, which was approved by the Senate on Monday and the House of Representatives last Friday, includes 64.7 billion dollar for US military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, 18.6 billion dollars for reconstruction operations in Iraq and 1.2 billion dollars for rebuilding Afghanistan.

It was the second massive package Bush has requested for Iraq and Afghanistan in less than seven months.
