Exhibition of China's 1st Manned Space Mission opens in Macao

The Exhibition of China's First Manned Space Mission opened Wednesday afternoon at the Macao Forum,a multi-functional complex in downtown Macao, with Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei and Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Edmund Ho Hau Wah attending as officiating guests.

The Exhibition of China's First Manned Space Mission opened Wednesday afternoon at the Macao Forum,a multi-functional complex in downtown Macao, with Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei and Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Edmund Ho Hau Wah attending as officiating guests.

The exhibition, which will run around-the-clock for free until Friday afternoon, features the re-entry capsule of the Shenzhou-5 spacecraft, the astronaut's spacesuit, the landing parachute and samples of the astronaut's space foods.

Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Ma Man Kei, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR Bai Zhijian, Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry in the Macao SARWan Yongxiang, Commander of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in Macao Liu Lianhua, and officials from the Macao SAR government and members of the Delegation of China's First Manned Space Mission attended the opening ceremony.
