And Han Jing from Macao won the female swordplay, the championships' first gold medal.

Chinese Zhao Qingjian from Beijing won the men's Changquan, Huang Shaoxiong from Shanghai took the men's Nangun and Zhao Yangyang from Henan Province won the women's Qiangshu (spear play).

The gold medals of the men's Daoshu and Nandao and women's Nangun went to competitors from the Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar.

In Sanshou, only the first round of men's competitions were held Tuesday. The total number of gold medals awarded were reduced by one to 17, due to too small a field in the heavier weight category.

Over 700 competitors from 57 countries and regions were entered for the event, which will continue to Friday.
