A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Tuesday that China will learn from the judicial experiences of all countries to improve its legal system.

Luo Gan, a member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, was speaking at a meeting with chief justices from Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.

Luo welcomed the chief justices, who attended a conference in the Macao Special Administrative Region, to learn more about China during their stay here and he hoped the visit would strengthen judicial exchanges and cooperation.

Nilson Vital Naves, from Brazil, said Portuguese-speaking countries were improving their legal systems and he was glad with Macao's participation in the meeting.

He said exchanges of judicial experiences were significant to the improvement of people's lives and human progress.

The guests are here at the invitation of China's Supreme People's Court.
