Musharraf is an old friend of China: President Hu

Chinese President Hu Jintao Monday met with his Pakistani counterpart Pervez Musharraf in Beijing and exchanged views on bilateral ties and regional and international issues of common concern.

Chinese President Hu Jintao Monday met with his Pakistani counterpart Pervez Musharraf in Beijing and exchanged views on bilateral ties and regional and international issues of common concern.

Hu Jintao said Musharraf is an old friend of China and has been heavily engaged in the growth of friendly bilateral ties for many years.

He spoke highly of Musharraf's remarks at the annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia on strengthening regional cooperation and realizing win-win development.

Before coming to Beijing, Musharraf attended the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, which opened in China's southernmost province of Hainan Sunday.
