HKSAR chief executive to attend Boao Forum

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Tung Chee Hwa will leave for Hainan Province next Saturday to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2003, a government statement said Sunday.

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Tung Chee Hwa will leave for Hainan Province next Saturday to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2003, a government statement said Sunday.

The theme of the 2003 annual meeting is "Asia Searching for Win-Win: Development through Cooperation".

Tung will attend a dinner to be hosted by Premier Wen Jiabao next Saturday. He will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the conference next Sunday morning.

Accompanying Tung on the trip will be Director of the Chief Executive's Office W K Lam, Director of Information Services Yvonne Choi, Private Secretary to the Chief Executive Robin Ip andSenior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Chan Kin-ping.

Tung will return to Hong Kong next Sunday afternoon. During hisabsence, Chief Secretary for Administration Donald Tsang will be Acting Chief Executive.
