Liu Aiping, wife of the victim of chemical weapons left in China by Japanese troops during World WarII will sue the Japanese government jointly with the Japanese victims.
A fatal toxic gas leak from abandoned Japanese chemical weapons killed one person and injured 42 others when barrels of mustard gas were dug up at a construction site in Qiqihar, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on August 4.
The Japanese case occurred this April when nearly 20 residents of a town near Tokyo developed health problems after drinking wellwater contaminated by arsenic, believed to have leaked from abandoned Japanese chemical weapons from World War II.
Liu has entrusted Su Xiangxiang with the All China Lawyers Association to sue the Japanese government and is preparing for traveling to Japan.
