Chinese premier arrives in Indonesia for ASEAN-related meetings

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Bali Monday afternoon to attend a series of meetings related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Bali Monday afternoon to attend a series of meetings related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Wen will attend the seventh ASEAN plus China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) (10+3) summit and the fifth China, Japan and ROK summit on Tuesday and the seventh ASEAN-China (10+1) summit on Wednesday.

This will be Wen's first time to attend the meetings as premier and will also be one of China's important diplomatic activities.

The ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
