Analysis: China's form will improve during the tournament
Ghana held their own very well throughout the encounter and consequently didn't allow China to find any rhythm in the course of the match. Therefore China came to very few chances and on the ones they did manage to produce they revealed that they are a bit rusty in front of goal as this is still the early stage of the tournament.

Sun Wen and Bai Jie stood out among the Chinese players but they certainly didn't live up to the level that we know they are capable of. Having said that I certainly believe that China's form will improve during the tournament. First matches are always tough and the fact that Ghana presented a very unorthodox system of playing didn't make things easier.
The Chinese should not expect to have more room to operate with in the matches to come against Australia and Russia but here they will be up against opponents that play with systematic, tactical approaches and that will undoubtedly make life easier for them.
The Ghanaian goalkeeper overall did very well but she wasn't really tested as much as we had expected. But I am sure that we will see the Chinese gradually find themselves in the group matches to come.
The Technical Study Group work during the tournament to compile a Technical Report containing a match-by-match analysis, detailed statistics as well as an appraisal of each team's performance. (FIFAworldcup.com)
