With Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov's arrival in Beijing, prime ministers of the six Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) members are ready for a consultation scheduled to open Tuesday morning.

Tajik Prime Minister Akil Akilov, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Nikolai Tanayev, Kazakh Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov and Uzbek Prime Minister Utkur Sultanov had arrived separately on Monday.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and the five prime ministers will hold the consultation of prime ministers of the SCO members Tuesday morning, which was said to be presided by Wen.

It was reported that the prime ministers will discuss SCO organization mechanism building and regional economic cooperation at the consultation.

Russian Prime Minister Kasyanov will pay an official visit to China from Sept. 24 to Sept. 25 after the consultation. Wen and Kasyanov will hold the eighth regular meeting between the two countries' prime ministers. They will make an appraisal of the overall Sino-Russian relations and plan further cooperation, including cooperation on energy resources, according to China's Foreign Ministry.

Kasyanov said on Sunday that Russia and China had the sincerity to coordinate interests and seek mutual beneficial cooperation. He said he hoped the consultation between him and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on the cooperative issues would be fruitful.

The SCO was established on June 15, 2001.
