Tajik Prime Minister arrives in Beijing

Prime Minister of Tajikistan Akil Akilov arrived in Beijing Monday afternoon to attend the second consultation of prime ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) members.

Prime Minister of Tajikistan Akil Akilov arrived in Beijing Monday afternoon to attend the second consultation of prime ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) members.

Kazakh Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Nikolai Tanayev and Uzbek Prime Minister Utkur Sultanov will arrive respectively later on Monday.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov will arrive early Tuesday morning.

It was reported that the five prime ministers and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will discuss SCO organization mechanism building and regional economic cooperation at the consultation.

The SCO took form on June 15, 2001. The first consultation of the prime ministers of SCO members was held in Kazakhstan's Alma-Ata in September, 2001.
