Senior Chinese Leader Visits Beijing Science, Technology Expo
Senior Chinese leader Jia Qinglin on Saturday visited the ongoing China (Beijing) International Science and Technology Industrial Expo, which runs from Sept. 12-15.
Senior Chinese leader Jia Qinglin on Saturday visited the ongoing China (Beijing) International Science and Technology Industrial Expo, which runs from Sept. 12-15.
Jia, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, visited professional exhibition stalls featuring Digital Olympics using electronic communications and network technology, bio-engineered medicine, environmental protection and modern manufacturing, and exhibition booths showcasing products and technology from other part of the country.
Jia, who is also chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a national advisory body, said the expo provides an opportunity for Chinese and overseas business people.
People from around the world can use the expo as a platform for improved understanding of the development of China's new and high-tech technology in a bid to promote economic and technological cooperation.
The annual expo, the sixth of its kind, is being held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.
